Our Teachers

Our Passion:

Our teachers are here to help children develop emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically. Through a structured curriculum implemented daily with planned activities, art and play, our staff provides a cheerful, safe, healthy and nurturing environment for your children. Our teachers are not mandated by a “block” curriculum that teaches all children the same thing and limits free thought. Rather, they are encouraged to develop activities specific to the interests and age of the children in their classroom.

Our Training:

Our center boasts some of the most highly trained, experienced and educated teachers in the business. Every classroom has a “lead teacher” who has a minimum five years experience.

Explorers in Learning participates in the Quality First program for early childhood – and we have a Quality coach that provides a constant resource for training and advice. Our teachers are also highly encouraged to take college courses in the field of childhood education, as well as attend other community trainings for early childhood professionals. Some teachers have their CDA or AAS degree in early childhood education. All staff has successfully completed the Arizona Food Handlers Safety class and are CPR and First Aid Certified. Our teachers have been here on average of 6 years or more.

Our Commitment:

In addition to staffing our center with the highest quality of teachers, EIL’s front office is staffed by an unheard of three Directors – one focused on the overall business, one focused on teacher training and support and one focused on marketing and enrollment. Each has been employed at EIL for over a decade (10 years). Therefore, a wealth of knowledge and experience is available to assist both parents and children.

Your children’s safety is of utmost importance. In addition to a top-notch Pass Point Security System, our teachers have been background checked, fingerprinted and drug tested. Even though it is not a state requirment, teachers employed by us have agreed to our school’s random drug testing policy where there is zero tolerance.

Low Teacher to Student Ratios

Children in our center benefit from the extra care they receive, as our school’s standard for child-to teacher ratio is lower than the State of Arizona requires. This allows teachers to focus on the individual learning styles and needs of each child in our center.

Partnering with Families

Our entire staff strives to meet the individual needs of each child entrusted in our care by forming a partnership with each child’s family. We believe daily teacher/parent communication plays an important part in your Childs development; therefore, we welcome and encourage parent involvement. Children go home each day with a detailed sheet of all their activities.
