What our parents have to say…

“We have had a great experience at Explorers In Learning. Deciding on a daycare/pre-k to care for your children is a difficult yet very important decision and we can happily say we made the right one. Our overall experience with all of your teachers and staff has been nothing short of fantastic. We have been able to watch our children develop both academically and socially. We believe your staff has done a great job in supporting our children’s growth and has opened their minds to new experiences.

We would like to say a special thank you to the Pre K teachers for the extraordinary development that we have seen in our son, Cody, this past year.. His progression from the beginning of school to the end of the school year is just amazing. Their time and efforts have allowed him to learn Spanish, know the seven continents, adding, subtracting, writing and much more all before entering Kindergarten. Based on his experiences in this class, we know our son is ready for his next step to Kindergarten.

Our children loved coming to school everyday. We will highly recommend anyone looking for daycare to stop by Explorers in Learning.” – Deven and Amy M.

“I CANNOT say enough about the Pre K program at Explorers in Learning. Ms. Bates is an amazing teacher, person, and brings out the best in my child. Samuel is not ready for Kindergarten. Seriously, he is ready for 1ST GRADE. Thank you for everything.” – Chris and Dan G.

“Our child will soon leave her class at Explorers in Learning to go to Kindergarten. Ishita started when she was six months old and has spent the last five years making friends and learning great things at EIL. We were always very happy with the quality of your program and the dedicated staff that has helped during her growing up years. I also have to commend you specially for having helped with keeping up with the high standards, as that is one of EIL’s greatest strengths. Although Ishita will be going to a new school, we will always be connected to EIL, and hope to continue our relationship with your after school and summer camp programs.” – Vishal and Prarthana

“It truly has been a wonderful experience bringing Nicholas to Explorers in Learning. I think it is a fantastic atmosphere and I certainly plan on bringing him next summer. And, the teachers are fantastic!

As Nicholas’ Mom, I always worry so much about the environment Nicholas is in due to his severe peanut allergy, his lack of speech, and his special needs. I must have gone to about 10 different schools to see what would be a good fit for Nicholas prior to coming to Explorers in Learning. This has been an excellent experience and I have felt very comfortable with Nicholas at this school. Thank you so very much for taking such good care of my son.” – Christine

“We recently switched from another daycare to Explorers in Learning. My daughter gets more supervision and attention, which is comforting while I am away from her. I absolutely love the atrium play area. It provides a great play area for the children, especially when the Arizona heat makes it hard to play outside.” – Shelley S.

“There is no doubt that EIL is a very special learning center. Our daughter comes home happily recounting the stories of her day and she genuinely loves her teachers. We have visited other centers only to have it prove that our daughter is in the perfect place…Explorers in Learning.” – Natalie S.

“My 6 month old son is currently enrolled in the infant room. After he was born, I was skeptical about going back to work, as I did not want to enroll him into daycare. After long considerations and 3 visits to Explorers in Learning, my husband and I decided to try it. We are very happy with our decision as our son receives a lot of attention, the class is very small, and the teachers are very loving caregivers. In addition to the great care our son receives, the teachers keep the lines of communication always open.” – Andrea L.

“The teachers at Explorers in Learning are organized, kind to the children and enthusiastic about teaching. My son has a serious allergy to nuts and the teachers and directors have been extremely helpful in keeping him safe. I really appreciate the time the staff members take to bond with my two children. We have had a very positive experience at the center and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality childcare.” – Lisa F.

“We have 2 children that attend EIL, our daughter has been attended for five years (from infants through the PreK room). It has been a very positive experience for our family, especially our children. Gracie starts kindergarten this year and we are extremely confident that she is more than ready to do so, thanks largely in part to EIL.” – Cindy S.

“I have had all three of my children at EIL and they collectively have experienced every room and program offered –from a 3-month old starting in Infant A to my oldest completing Pre-K in 2012 and infant starting 2013. My experience, and more importantly my children’s’ experience, at EIL has been exceptional. I have found the facility to be clean and well-managed, and the staff to be professional, courteous, and most importantly caring and loving towards my children. A few examples of my experience in various classrooms.

The teachers in Infant B went out of their way to spend extra time with my son in helping him to reach his gross motor milestones. My son was delayed in his gross motor skills due to low muscle tone and was in physical therapy. The Infant B teachers were fantastic about giving my son the extra attention and encouragement he needed to help him crawl, stand, and walk. Four years later, I am still grateful and haven’t forgotten this.

The teachers in the Twos and Transition classrooms, were so great about assisting with potty training. With the children spending so much of their days and week at EIL rather than home, it was critical to have someone who would treat potty training as a priority and with consistency. This was a very smooth process for us.

I was fascinated by the things my children learned at the age of 3-4 in the Preschool classroom. But the cornerstone of the entire school, in my opinion, is the Pre-K program. The teachers are truly exceptional teachers that really know how to garner a class’s attention and fully prepare the children for kindergarten. My children learned about the world the continents and various countries; they learned math (including addition and subtraction), letter sounds, and started to read, all before ever beginning Kindergarten. With my oldest through kindergarten now, I am able to confidently say that he knew everything he needed to know for kindergarten, and more, thanks to EIL’s Pre-K program, and was significantly ahead of his peers. I would without a doubt recommend EIL’s Pre-K program to anyone looking for their child to have a head start before kindergarten.

I have always liked that EIL is not a chain and is not a cookie-cutter childcare facility. I would not hesitate to recommend EIL to any prospective parent.”

“We have been at Explorers In Learning for about 6 ½ years. My son started in Toddler B room and graduated from Pre K. My daughter is currently in Preschool. As a teacher myself, I feel it is so important to allow children to be in social situations and get an early education that will prepare them for elementary school. Both classrooms have or are preparing my kids for the skills they will need in the future. We have all had a wonderful experience at EIL. The facility is open and clean and all the staff is caring. It really feels like a family when you walk into the building because most of the teachers have had one of my kids at some point in their lives. We only have one year left at EIL and it will be bittersweet when I pick my child up for the last time.”

“I have had two children at Explorers in Learning and I am so impressed with the classes and teachers! The Pre-K class did more than get my oldest child ready for Kindergarten. Besides her ABC’s and numbers, she was learning math, how to tell time, how to read and recognize words. When my daughter entered Kindergarten I really noticed how far ahead of the other children she was. Even though my daughter was sad to leave her teachers at EIL, It really made the transition for all of us a good experience. Now I have my two year old at EIL and she loves her class and teachers! I know that she is happy and well taken care of while she is there. The entire EIL staff really puts more than 100% into the children. I would recommend EIL to anyone! It is a great school!”

“Our son’s experience in the infant classrooms at Explorers in Learning has been outstanding. All of the teachers are very knowledgeable and genuinely care for each of the children. Each day is full of stimulating activities including reading books, listening to music, discovering new toys, and exploring on a buggy ride. We have such peace of mind knowing that our son is receiving nurturing care in an environment that allows him to discover and learn. We plan to keep our son enrolled at Explorers in Learning for years to come and take advantage of all that this center has to offer our growing boy!”

“I just wanted to tell you how grateful we are that we found Explorers in Learning for our son’s daycare. He was only 3 months old when I had to return to work and I was very upset about not being able to stay home with him and we struggled with making sure that we found a place where he would get the care and attention he needed. Within a couple of weeks we knew that we had found the right place because he was always smiling when we dropped him off and picked him up! The teachers are just wonderful with him and all of the other babies and each knows everything about every child in the class. The activities that they plan each week help bolster his learning and keep him entertained and engaged.”

“When our first child was born in 2002, my wife and I struggled with the idea that she would be in a stranger’s hands for most of each working day. Being new parents we were clueless about what it takes to create a wholesome environment outside of the house. We tried an in-home caregiver at first but could never get comfortable with some aspects of that arrangement. Our next two stops were with child care centers that seemed more concerned about getting paid than the welfare of our baby. Through sheer luck and after many frustrating tours we stumbled upon the newly opened Explorers in Learning in 2004. Although the center was still brand new, we could tell right away that we had found what we were looking for. We enrolled at once and from that moment until today we have had a child in full time care at Explorers In Learning.

Our oldest daughter Cassidy progressed through the toddler rooms and pre-school classes with great enthusiasm. Every day her excitement about “going to school” proved to my wife and me that we had made the right decision. But when she reached the pre-K room her intelligence really began to blossom. The teachers challenged her and helped her become the voracious A+ student she is today in 4th grade. It was a sad day for her when she left EIL to begin kindergarten. Every summer since then has been spent at EIL in the school age class. Cassidy prefers coming back here to being with her elementary school friends in the district’s Mascot program.

When our second daughter Miranda was born we knew right away where she would be spending her time when maternity leave was over. She was our first to start in the infant rooms. We still had feelings of guilt about dropping off our baby but the feelings were abated by the environment we were bringing her to. The consistency of the staff helped a great deal at this time. Miranda passed through all of the class rooms at EIL in what seemed like the blink of an eye and has gone on to become an excellent student herself. She is currently in 3rd grade and like her older sister, prefers to spend her summers at EIL over any other option.

Our third child Eliza also started in the infant rooms with the same teachers her older sister had. There was no adjustment period for my wife and I because we already knew all of the teachers who would be caring for her. Eliza is currently in the pre-school class and absolutely adores her teachers.

It will be a sad day for our family when she graduates into kindergarten. We will miss all of the folks at EIL who have become a second family to us. In my opinion the two best things about EIL are: 1) the fact that you are able to develop relationships with the caregivers. Seeing the same faces for so many years makes it a lot easier to drop kids off every day. From the directors to the office staff to the teachers – everyone at Explorers is dedicated to making a home away from home for my children. The kids love every minute they are there and we couldn’t be happier. 2) The preparation for elementary school is outstanding. Both of my older girls were well ahead of their classmates at the beginning of kindergarten. That was a direct result of the learning and experiences they had at Explorers.”
